Jack Russell Terrier Club
Jack Russell Terriers are a breed of working terrier who take their name from the Reverend John Russell who bred one of the finest strains of working fox terriers in Devonshire, in the mid to late 1800's.
To celebrate its 25th Anniversary, The Jack Russell Terrier Club of Great Britain held a commemorative weekend at Swimbridge in North Devon on the 14th-16th May 1999. This picturesque village is where the namesake of this noble terrier, the Rev John Russell, hunted his hounds and terriers for over 40 years.
In this film we capture the celebrations that took place over this very unique event and meet owners of Jack Russells from around the world and discover some of the history of this outstanding breed of dog.
