King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery
The King's Troop RHA were named at the express wish of King George VI on 24th October 1947. Prior to this they were known as The Riding Troop. The St John's Wood Barracks in London, where the King's Troop are based has been occupied by an artillery unit since 1804.
Today, besides their busy ceremonial duties in London, The King's Troop RHA are in great demand for their famous Musical Drive which is performed at many of the large shows at home and abroad. Never has this equitation unit of the British Army been more popular.
