The Malshanger Estate is famous for its conservation work and farming practices. Over the years it has encouraged birds such as the rare stone curlew who now breed on this estate.
They grow specialist essential oil crops such as camomile, lavender and mint. These plants offer important cover for wildlife along with hundreds of acres of arable crops and large woodlands which ensures a suitable environment for many different species
of wildlife.
